Being a amateur cinematographer, I learnt one thing to see and tell stories of eveything. A water filter in a school had a story, a basketball hoop had a story. Everything and everyone had a story once you learn more about them. This gradually started leaking into other aspects of my life, working as a product analyst I started asking questions my developers did not want me to ask, what problems are you facing in the current flow? If we can make this change, we can help you a lot, do you want it? I started empathizing with both clients and developers and believe strongly in providing the best user experience before even knowing what UX is. This inquisitive and emphatic nature lead to better reviews of our products and clients and overall higher satisfaction. This caught me on, I started asking more questions, to others and myself eventually finding myself uprooting my whole life and shifting to USA to learn more about how I could solve problems efficiently.
My journey has been one of tight slaps, realizations, failures, self doubt, but each one of these experiences made me better and I find myself ready enough to be confidently applying to UX Designer positions and believing in myself enough to contribute to leading successful teams. Here's to creating an impact through storytelling and listening.
